If you are worried about not having ever been on a bike before, then don't!  Our Compulsory Basic Training {CBT} starts from scratch and we assume little or no motorcycling experience. Our aim is to build Confidence, Safety and motorcycle Control in all our students. 

We expect that all our student have a good knowledge of the Highway Code as during the day we will cover the topic of Road Safety. To find out more on the Elements use the links below.

COURSE PRICING

What you NEED to Bring with you !!

• Licence - If you have the New Photo licence then bring BOTH Parts {licence& Counter part} You will not be able to conduct the training with out it ...... So to avoid disappointment make sure you have them.
  Paper type - All you need to do is bring it with you ........
  
• Insurance - If you are on your OWN bike then you MUST bring a valid insurance certificate with you ........ You will not be allowed to do your training on your own bike unless you can show it. If you need help getting insurance give us a call ..... we may be able to help.
  
• MOT - If YOUR bike is older than three years then before you can venture on the road We will have to see your valid MOT certificate
  
• Road Tax - If you are using YOUR own bike then it must be showing a valid road fund licence {Road Tax} if not you will not be able to use it on the road ...... Sorry but that's the LAW

Attending the Compulsory Basic Training {CBT} is a requirement by law before taking to the road and is also a fantastic introduction to motorcycling.

Road craft talk on the following

• Recognize the importance of reading and understanding the Highway Code

• Ride defensively and anticipate the actions of other road users
  
• Use rear observation at appropriate times
  
• Assume the correct road position whilst riding
  
• Leave sufficient space when following another vehicle
  
• Pay due regard to the effects of varying weather conditions when riding
  
• Be aware of the effect on a vehicle of the various types of road surface
  
• Be aware of the need to be clearly visible to other road users (the use of conspicuity aids)
  
• Recognize the legal requirements for riding on the road
  
• Understand why motorcyclists are more vulnerable than most road users
  
• Drive at the correct speed according to road and traffic conditions
  
• The consequences of aggressive attitudes when riding
  
• The importance of hazard perception
  
• The dangers of drug and alcohol use

Element 'E'
On road training

• Out on the road with the instructor closely advising {Radio contact at all times}

• Experience of varying road and traffic conditions {Town Riding and Open roads}

• Complete a U-turn and Emergency Stop

Certification

Provided you have reached a satisfactory level of competence, a certificate of completion of approved training will be issued and you may now ride on the road with plates. 

If you do not reach the required standard within the training session, extra tuition will be arranged.
